How do I find images for my site?
You have several options for finding images for your new website. The most important thing you need to consider is whether you have the license or rights to an image. It is easy enough to do a quick google image search and find the perfect image for your site, but if you do not have the rights to use that image, you may find your self in hot water later on down the road.

If you want exclusive rights to someone else’s image then you will have to pay for those rights.

Paid stock images gives you access to a large collection of professional grade images at high quality. You can pay for several different license types and can even buy exclusive rights to an image so that way you will be the only one using that image. Many of these sites sell images either by the image, through a token system, or as a subscription service that allows you to use so many images a month. These can get pretty pricey if you need a lot of images on a regular basis.

4. Requesting permission to use an image.
Finally, if you do happen to find a great image from a google image search or you just happen to stumble upon one, you could reach out to the copyright owner and ask permission to use that image on your site. Be sure to keep a record in order to protect yourself in case they change their mind. If they do grant you permission but later change their mind and revoke that permission you may have to remove the image.
